The Adobe Deli, at 3970 Lewis Flats Road, just off NM Highway 549 east of Deming, is a popular watering hole and high-end restaurant on the outskirts of Deming. It was a former school house back in the early 1900s and children from Deming and Luna County were bused there for kindergarten up until the early 1970s when the school was closed and put on the selling block.

PRI’s (Paranormal Research Investigations) first investigation in 2011 produced unexplained experiences that may be linked to the school house days. They did an EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) session in one of the old classrooms and stood by the door recording. What they picked up in the EVP was two claps and a women’s voice saying, ‘sit down.’ The PRI team did not hear it themselves, but the EVP picked it up.”
This television in the cigar shop of the Adobe Deli produced the apparition of a face in the screen back in 2011.
The relevance is that it could be energy from a past schoolmarm settling her class down.

Two other unexplained experiences at the Adobe Deli in 2011 were caught at the entrance of the first room and off to the left where a potbelly stove sits. An EVP session recorded two disembodied voices saying: “Wait… What was that?”
The most compelling experience was caught in an image by the PRI crew. Owner Van Jacobsen was helping out by conducting an EMF (electromagnetic field) session in the Cigar Room — a transformed classroom at the Deli. Crew members took digital images of the session and caught what appears to be a distorted face in an analog television screen that sits up high in the room.
“At the time of the session, the TV was not on or plugged into any electrical source, yet when Van did his EMF sessions next to the TV, the readings were off the charts,” Galvan said.

The meals we had there were really good and everyone agreed that we need to return.
